9 times out of 10 these competitions are rigged, with the winner already decided before the draw even takes place. You'd have to be pretty naive if you thought you even had a chance.

Massive call. What's your evidence for 90% of such competitions being rigged?

If I won a new Territory Titanium I'd have to sell it, couldn't afford to keep up the insurance. I'd pocket the cash and probably spend most of it on a new XR6 and keep the rest.

From the terms and conditions..
4.4 The winners agree they will not sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to any media
or other organisation.

Sell the story, not the car. I'd happily keep it for a couple of months, enjoy it, then offload it.

One of the smarter marketing moves I have seen of late from Ford.

I'd look into selling it on consignment - that way it can still be sold as a new car, as it never leaves the showroom.

Then I'd be hunting for a BF F6.

Holden did a similar thing a couple of years ago when the Sportwagon came out, Better Homes gave away two 6L Calais V wagons. It's definitely a smart move, a lot of people watch that show and read the magazine, especially bored homemakers looking for a new SUV to take little Oliver and Briarna up to Maccas in.

But their pre-production models, or company vehicles employees drive. Some managers have had their new Territorys for weeks, as the glitch isn't a problem for them as they are aware of the problem and will be re-flashed later.

You can't send customer cars out with problems.

Err, you think the insurance on a diesel family wagon is going to be lots more than a 'sports model' sedan?

I realise that but I'd be a lot more willing to pay it if I had a spare 15-20 k in the bank account, left over from the sale of the Terri.
