Believe it will be Falcon & Territory as the last two(what I read a couple of weeks ago.) They will then be retained by Ford as part of their "Heritage Collection".Cheers

That would be correct.... The final Ford Falcon Ute (a white XR6) that rolled off the Broadmeadows production not long ago was retained by Ford Australia.

I think it'd be nice if it were just a bog standard Falcon! Lets face it, when the falcon started life in AU, it wasn't anything particularly amazing. It had its issues. Ford Aust kept improving it. The last falcon is only ever going to be a museum piece, I reckon have an example that ends....where it all started, a bog standard falcon........nothing special, but something that will remain in our hearts forever. Will be a very sad day for this country.

On a side note, does anyone know if there is going to be a "commemorative" drive on October 7??? I for one would be keen to be involved.

What I am hearing & reading is that Ford want to do it "in House" out of respect for it's employees.(& that is the way it should be,keep all the "Bogan's" away.)

I believe that the first Falcon was actually a Deluxe, not a standard model, which would've been the top shelf offering at the time. There were no Futuras, Fairmonts or XR8s in XK days.

For the final FG/X, probably something mid-range such as a G6E non-turbo would be more appropriate.

Have Ford built #500 XR8 Sprint yet? That could be saved for last.

Just realised too that the last day is only 5 weeks and 2 days away, can't believe it's just about over.

There is nothing special about 500 as there are 750 XR8 sprint. I would have liked the final falcon to have been an XR6 Sprint as it represents the pinnacle in local design in both body and engine.

G'day all ..Totally agree with the general consensus that the last one should be a fairly standard one..That's the right thing to do..SO..If Ford retains it , the actual last SOLD Falcon and Territory will be the ones immediately before tha actual last one/s..Imagine getting your hands on that..they ought to auction it or something..Cheers Rod

I thought it was 750 all up? 500 8's & 250 6's. I'd prefer the 6 too.

You may get your chance to buy it. Ford auctioned off 1/750 and was bought for $92,500. Number 750 is being held by the company and who knows they may auction it off for charity.

What a joke. Go out with a bang, a one off FGX GT-HO would do. Put it in the bloody museum if you have to

Give us some ammo so we can build replicas. I doubt Holden will go out like this

Me too, in Winter White to match the last ute. I will also place a bet on the last Territory being Winter White also for a matching set.

My prediction for colour would be Kinetic Blue for the XR6. Most probably Black for the Territory?
