Default Help! gallons of pink vomit!

Of all the stupid things......Well, I have to be honest, it was me. I was coming back from a party in the Central Coast last weekend with my GF, she was driving the Mirage that her mother has kindly lent me while I wait fir delivery of the XR6 when all of a sudden, I spewed all over the car.

I didn't think that I was particularly drunk, nor did I feel ill but that is beside the point.
I had barely got the window half open when I sent forth a jet of steaming pink vomit aka Team America style and of course, at 110kmh, what little was aimed at the window, blew back in.
Suffice to say, the car is a mess and this is where I need some help!
My long-suffering fiancee put it through the drive in car wash when we got to Sydney (with a lot of very strange looks) and the following day we took it to a car wash cafe where it was set upon by a very unlucky detailer
$100 later, and it still smells. I have Fabreezed it and now Nil-odoured it too but there is still a tangy odour hanging around.
Now, the offending contents of my stomach went as far as the boot of the car, all over the seatbelt and the door lining as well as the roof lining.
Does anyone have ANY suggestions that can help combat the smell?
I really don't want to replace the whole bloody interior!

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Jamie : : : : :baby bott :baby bott :baby bott

When my wife re-decorated my EA velour interior with a lovely spray of olives one drunk night.

I went and hired a britex cleaner with the attachement for lounges (works great for cars), sprayed some fabric cleaner on, then steam cleaned the whole car twice, smelt way better, a few car freshners and a few days of the windows down when I could, it smelt normal again. Has been fine since too.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.

OMG, what a crack up.

I know I'm not helping.

Best advice I could probably give right now is to keep cleaning and use plenty of air freshener.

It might have also gotten inside the lining of the roof or boot, could be the reason for the small remaining, only option there would be to remove the roof lining and door trimmings and clean it out, shouldnt need to replace the interior. I know cause that whay happened on a car of mine, took a while to clean as well.

There may be some yuck still there or it might take a few days to air it all out.. :

I personally would be doing what EA2BA said, steam clean EVERYTHING!!!!
Leave it open for as much as possible..

That way in a few days it should be ok..

**sorry for laughing.. but that just totally cracked me up...

I bet there's chunks down inside the door cavity, it will have seaped down through the window slot.... remove the door trim and have a look/wiff!.

haha... I still got the chuckles too, only because exactly the same happened to me a few months ago, although in a maxi-taxi. Tried to act as though nothing had happened but Mr. Cab driver was too smart for old drunk me...luckily the missus was a good sport and did the cleaning

I would air it out too after throrough cleaning of everything, bit of breeze circulation seems to clear out any offending odours

Make sure the interior light is OFF when doing all the cleaning a flat battery wont prove much either.

Meguiars Car Odor Eliminator. Spray it on (LOTS of it), it will actually make things smell worse for a bit, but if you spray it and leave it overnight, it should come out the next morning smelling a LOT better.

Only do that once youve cleaned out all the stuff you can though.

And what were you drinking to make it pink? :

Try a detailer with a proper extractor vac not just a regular one other wise try a steam cleaner like you can rent from supermarkets & try & give it as much of an air out as you can.

There's only one problem here, real blokes dont drink pink drinks and hence don't spew pink........
And besides with a name like Scottish XC shouldn't you be spewing single malt?

Yes youre right! I admit it was a pretty un-Scottish accident; I drank my 8 pack of the new Tooheys extra Dry (6.5abv) and once finished, I scouted the party for replenishment which I discovered in the form of bright pink alcho-pops....can't remeber quite how many I consumed but the damn stuff tasted like lolly water..........I have to justify that a real bloke won't stop drinking just because the only alchohol available is pink!!

Well, I found some pink nuggets down inside the window gap so I suppose I'll have to take the door apart and start scraping...!

Thanks for the good tips guys, I'll give them a try - probably all bloody weekend and I'm glad I gave a few of you a good chuckle!

Drinking whatever you can find at the end of a party is completely excusable, just make sure you take a carton next time, move along......., nothing to see here.

Very un-Scottish. Wheres the Scotch at? lol

But I agree with what this man is saying. If you finish your drinks, and theres free alcohol, whether it be beer, bourbon, lolly-water whatever, its yours for the taking.

Ive drunken many a pink and blue and green drink solely because it was there and free. :

Sounds like you had a good night mate. One of my mates spewed in his car awhile ago...wonder how thats smelling now.

Doh! Yes... I still haven't quite got used to the fact that I'm now engaged..my bad!

On the note regarding the new Tooheys that I hold partially responsible for my chunk-blowing effort- it is a beautiful tasting beer (1st time round only) and my advise is go drink some but maybe do it outside!
I shouldn't really laugh but in hindsight, it was pretty funny- Suz is a sport for putting up with me as she was wearing a fair bit of it too!
The worst part was that I was wearing a fake kilt, ginger wig and scottish "bunnet" with a yellow t shirt covered in pink effluent!

I must say, the last few parties I've been to was at the same place, and those flavoured vodka jelly-shots go down a treat

If it's free and your own supply is done and dusted, it's time to go scouting for alternative beverages!
