Balance of hard boosting and off boost. I probably put in $100 a fortnight but I don't use anywhere near that much.

I only do it to keep it well above 1/4 mark because it has a tank on either side of the drive shaft and if I corner too hard I could risk running a pump dry.

I probably get about 420kms to a tank on average. The best I have got was 500kms. This is all city driving.

Because it is a 4cyl, if you don't boost it you can get good economy. But I can't go longer than 20 mins without putting the boot down ;)

HE HE what's this "off boost" you speak of?

I go through about 30 to $50 per week as my girl hardly gets driven.

Oh Mitchay you shouldnt have too many issues with fuel starvation (on the street) the issue only becomes a real problem at the track, head into a left hander hard and the pump runs dry and as you are powering out then you run out of fuel and lean out cylinder 2......POP goes the weasel!!!

Car: 2005 Ford Fiesta WP Zetec
Fuel: Whatever the pump has. 98 RON if its there. Favourite is Vortex 98, but I'm not picky.
Driving: I drive quite a bit. At least 90km a day, but usually more. Seven days a week.
How Much: Going by my last three fuel bills which span a week, they were $43.56 (36.03 litres Vortex 98), $43.95 (34.1 litres Vortex 98) and $42.60 (35.83 litres Vortex) that adds up to $130.11 I've spent on petrol in the last six days. That's about 1300km in those six days. From my last tank full, 415.8km from 35.83L that's about 8.62L/100km, which is 1L above what it usually is, I put that down to a bad batch of fuel. And yeah, 45L tank, I fill up when the digital fuel gauge is down to the two little thin bars at the bottom, usually about ~10-12L left in the tank at that point.

About $75 per week is spent on fuel. I have a BP card though the 5% off always helps.

My XR8 on gas costs around $35 per week for between 300 and 350 km. The wagon probably $15 per week in fuel - it is in danger of going off before we ever fill the damn thing!

usually $80-$120 a fortnight, depends on how bored i get......

would probably be less if i wasnt so lazy, work is literally a block away..... but what the hell...... to walk to work, i've gotta walk past the Sprint, and i've been told that sprinting everywhere is healthier for you cos it gets the heart rate up :-D

That card is an interesting thing.

A $79 annual fee means you have to spend over $1580 per year before you break even from the 'savings' on fuel.

The maximum fuel based saving is on $300 of fuel per month, which is a saving of $15, thereby $180 per year. Take the annual fee away and then you're down to $81 a year.

Or a maximum saving of $6.75 a month.

Car: AU2 XLS ute
Fuel: Normal Unleaded. Pretty much always from Peak Sawyers Valley.
Driving: about 550kms a week. Sometimes more if its a busy weekend. Half hwy, half suburbia.
How much per fortnight: Too bloody much. I think its starting to get about $150 a fortnight. The ute has a bloody huge tank compared to my old little hatch back.

The price we pay for having nice cars.

Before LPG:

Car: 1) BA XR6 Ute
2) TS Astra CD

Fuel 1)BP ultimate
2)BP Premium 95

Driving 1)2500km per fortnight
2)2000km per fortnight

Cost 1)$600
2)$200

So combined $800 per fortnight.

Now XR6 on LPG is down to about $175 per fortnight

New combined $375 per fortnight!!

Saving $425 per fortnight running the ute on gas!!
