Anyone know which European city the current SAAB ad is made in? (the one with the wagon that sounds like a jet) I am thinking the building at the start looks a lot like Milano Centrale railway station but not sure why they would make a SAAB ad in Italy???

SAAB's have historically been from Sweden, part of the Scania group, now owned by GM ... so you can pretty much call them a holden.

The town is in France. In French we are watching a movie and that exact scene was in it! I thought it was de ja vu!

yeah it sucks how SAAB was taken over by GM
sales have dropped through the floor. (my dad was national service manager up till a few years ago) i don't think they can survive, especially seeing as they are now been FORCED to use GM motors and are not allowed to develop new engines. |

There is a joke in the car industry that goes something like, "how do you get a small SAAB dealership? Answer: start with a large one" Apparently they are really hard cars to sell and a lot of people think they are still weird cars like they were in the 70s.

yeah they are a hard car to sell, they really are in their own market.
the 9-3 is a nice modern car, but for some stupid reason it has that typical flat SAAB dash! : |
