Thus proving, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that money does not buy you taste.

That looks crap. Walkinshaw has it right...tackiest ever...along with the Miss VY Commodore.

Anyway, I thought divorce judges were a girl's best friend nowadays.

While people struggle to pay for petrol like this use the money for something completely pointless.

It really is sad isn't.

You'd think he could afford some descent rims after all that.

I wonder if those are real diamonds. $????million? No security guards, only surrounded by ropes like any old car at any motor show? No massive crowds around to see something like that, but people just walking past like it is any other car?

Something seems wrong to me...

Actually, look at the 3rd pic. I reckon the car next to it has a reflection in its paintwork - and it looks like a red car, not a diamond shiny one... could be wrong though. That car is just not reflecting off enough stuff around it to be real... if those were real diamonds or if it was a real pic, that would be blindingly bright in everything shiny, such as a car next to it.

There’s one way to ruin a perfectly good Merc. Personally, I think it would have looked better if they’d just rammed it into a tree.

I wonder how many cats had to die just to make those seat covers?

Hey, i know, im the richest guy in the world, i might just go out and buy $480,000,000 worth of diamonds for my sl800, or i could fix poverty and dispare among our fellow human beings and almost making poverty history, nahhh il just go with the diamonds it sounds like fun. He would only see that car for about one day of the year tops and have a *cheap* thrill looking at what he has designed.

That makes me feel discusted and appauled that someone with his wealth and power would use it to create a car that no one would dare to drive, whilst thousands apon thousands of innocent people are dying in 3rd world countries accross the earth. Coming from a 17yr old, i would assume this Kush Al Fayed fellow who i estimate would be about 40-60yrs old be mature enough to know how to manage his money. i dont know how he could sleep at night...

Just thinking. What if someone backs into the thing while it’s parked outside the local branch of the Riggs bank and she has to go to the local panel shop?

Who would they call in to colour match the diamonds? :hihi:

Edit: The tight a$$ didn’t even buy the AMG version.

Where'd this story come from?

Kush Al Fayed doesn't even sound real... Let alone enter his own car into a showoff event like that (Osaka Automesse).

Good point, "Kush Al Fayed" isn't in the top ten richest men in the world. Nor did his name come up anywhere related (other than other forums posting this) when I searched google.

The only chicks that would like a car like this are superficial fools with little between the ears and an eye only for your looks and wallet, not for who you are.

Crush it.

Let me think about that for a second...
Pick up hot random chick.
Take her for a drive for a bit.
Drive her for a bit.
Dump her off wherever
She gets to cruise around...and you get some lovin' it sounds win-win to me.

Heres a couple of my thoughts:

1) We are told that petrol prices are high because of "market forces". Looks like my petrol money goes into making some self indulgent old make a waste of money car.

2) Fanatical arabs always go on about "greedy westerners" well it doesnt look like these oil sheiks are exactly philantrapists.

3) It would be really funny if the petrol tank caught fire because Diamonds are essentially Carbon (same family as Coal) and when heated to a few thousand degrees becomes Charcoal which means 480 million dollars od diamonds can quite easily become a few cents of soot.

As much as I love petrol engines I can't wait for the day the West is not dependant on oil so all these ridiculously rich sheiks can go back to humping goats in their tents in the middle of the desert.
