Default Sold the XB Coupe for a HQ Monaro

Well much to my disgust my brother sold this very special XB Fairmont Coupe that had an absolute resto.
He replaced it with a HQ Monaro Coupe which is nice in its own rite, but it aint a Ford.
So I thought I better get a couple of pics of his XB and my XC together for prosperity.

I'm not sure if he's like me saying, but more than 40 and less than 60.
The Munro was around 20. It has had a full rebuild too with a fuel injected VR V8 converted to a carby with a T700 tranny.
I must admit it steers better than the XB. The power steering was too twitchy for my liking.

Well he probarbly put 30 in the bank and bought a mint 70s muscle car coupe with a different badge on the front of the car, so hes done well, 20 is pretty good for the munro, and 50 for the ford was a great price!

I don't mind HQ Monaro's, but they don't look half as tough as an X series coupe. :

Yeah, the XB had 10 inch rims with 265's and the Q has only got 225's.

My mistake, the Q was around 30k not 20k. Just got to get it licensed now.

Somehow I deleted the pics of the Fords, so here goes again.

I'd probably pick the Q, to be honest...

I'll go hide now.

Each to their own.

But for me the XB wins hands down over the HQ.

Different strokes for different folks I guess!

Both are gorgeous cars.

I'd still pick the XB personally (probably because I have one...).

I saw both those cars advertised on the net at the same time, infact theyre still on the website, they even have pics of the XB getting restored, and believe me there was no expense spared by the looks of the restoration pics.

Thats for sure, the guy who restored it did it for his Dad as a labour of love and was going to give it to him.

Then he found his Dads actual XB coupe he used to own years ago so he sold the first one and did up the original one.

A lot of blood sweat and tears went into it the first one that my brother bought, everything matches the compliance plate codes, it was sweeeet as.
If I had the money I would have got it myself.

Here's a link. Ben who built the car has this business so if you see something he's done you can bet it's a great job, he has some nice and unusual cars.

I'm in no way affiliated with him, just passing on some info.

Do you think he'll recover from the slapping that you dished out afterwards? You did slap him right? :
