Yeah, EVO, but its $15,000 over my self imposed limit!

Your car is lovely Dan, but I couldn't do it... I want something else these days i find. I'm leaning towards the supra at the moment...

Then I would get the one that will give you the least problems out of the japanese turbo cars.

They would be good as daily drivers as well as the track. They come with decent brakes standard too which is handy.

Supra's seem to be about 30K for a 10+ year old model.

The other option could be to go older and cheaper and build the car to how you want it. S13's are cheap as chips nowadays and perform pretty well.

I couldnt bare to sell my car now anyways, its way too much fun at the moment. :eclipsee_

EVO 5 or 6 are much cheaper than the 7s or a WREXY!!!

i was the same as you till i got in the passanger seat.........it will change your thoughts on the STI :
btw i was in an evo7(genuine) not some pos lancer with a body kit.

SCary thought - 1998 is 7 years ago!!! en hell.

But still - they look hot... and there are plenty of workshops for them in Australia and you barely need to touch some of the internals to get 600kw out of them....

Yep stock internals are apparently good to 600. Lol should of bought CDAAs supra although i dont know how much that was worth but sure looked nice from the pictures.

i reckon the best way to figure this out is to drive them all. if its track day squirts your after then id go a turbo MX5.. everything is cheap to upgrade because the car is so light

example... a full metal pad, and slotted/drilled rotor will have greater effect on an mx5(or similarly weighted car) than on a heavy one... performance gains are easier in a turbo car than a NA (up to a point) exhaust,boost intake, fuel pressure and timing advance will give you 50% more power easily

not to mention semi slicks are expensive but tend to last longer on a lighter car.... go the mx5 turbo... and my second pick would be an escort with an sr20det.... wave as you pass cars 3 times the price!!!!!

1979 Porsche Carrera 2 Targa
Engine updated to 3.2 ltr 94/95 with same 94/95 manual box.
Goes like stink, roof down motoring, whale tail, Simmonds wheels.

All up, $22k

A blower wouldn't go astray on a machine like an M3. Nice package all round.

If I had to choose?

RZ Supra. Then modify it to the point of everytime you put the keys in it you are rolling the dice as to whether you will live to tell the tale! They can be blisteringly quick!
