Ok cougar/probes are a bit metro sexual. The ebaich cougar being the only exception.
The above BMW is a classic car but i wouldn't get that example, its too modded. You want it to be as standard as you can get. If your going to spend your budget then I suggest saving $2k atleast quick smart for when something breaks, not if. With your range its hard, you wont find something really good, not bad but you have to be careful. If you really want fun, and own a classic then im going to say a Mk2 RS2000. That sort of money would get a minter and you will not lose a cent.

If its an old 3 series I'd be looking at that Alpina tickled one that a member on here (Walt Kawalski) was talking about a few months ago first.
Or maybe a Jap Import M3 (2.3 litre 4 cyl)
