I got the same reply. But thought it meant that if I wanted to receive more info on the 50th anniversary falcon to reply then, and only then. reply stop only after you have accepted more info from them.

Terms and conditions said that the maximum an enter would cost is 55c.

I entered and then ignored the reply. The back and forth with "further info" is how they make money on the deal. 70,000*55cents = $38,500. Not sure how much of that 55 cents goes to Mr Summers though. Plus they probably get money from ford for advertising their car etc.

I'm doubtful someone will/has won. There is more than one way to draw a contest. All those who have entered are hoping that they will pick a name from all the contestants.

What is more likely with a prize this big is they will assign some randomly generated 20 digit code to each entry, and then draw it by generating another 20 digit code. If no one has that code, no one wins. Ford get to keep their car, and still get all the free advertising the competition provides. Hey Hey it's Wednesday gets a heap of publicity, and gets to pocket all the 55c donations that have been made throughout Australia.

"Someone has to win, and it may as well be me."

WRONG. Someone doesn't have to win, and in the unlikely event that someone does, it probably won't be you.
