Just looking through ebay again... came across this xr8....
Looking at the interior i'd say its a series 1 eb, but the guy is selling it as a 94 model ed... You think he would have swapped the interior back to the old style colours, with the 4" speaker holes in the doors? heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Ford-ED-XR8_W...QQcmdZViewItem

Hmm it's definitely EA S Pac or EB I XR style interior... Quite odd?
Sexy wheels though.

I sent him an email last night and asked him the exact question. He states the
I.D plates indicate build date of 9/93, I also asked if it had ABS, he said it did not, said he bought it 5 months ago for the wife but she is expecting and now wants a bigger car for "baby things". just does'nt seem right! |

It's definitely a series 1 EB, as everyone has pointed out - the interior is the darker 2 tone colour scheme. The other giveaways are the front door speakers, series 1 had smaller holes than series 2 and on the outside of the vehicle, at the base of the windscreen, you'll see the wipers sit higher and have a plastic infill shroud to the bonnet. Series 2 wipers were recessed a little below the bonnet line and a lower level infill panel which couldn't be seen over the bonnet. the pics are a little unclear but other items that you could look at the differentiate both series is that EB1 had a darker rough finished plastic for the exterior door handles, EB2 had smooth, lighter units, As was ther rear garnish between the tailights. I'd say that it's an EB with minor cosmetics to look like an ED or if plated as he says, something a little dodgy. hope this helps.

Something is sus. The rego plates are a bit of a give away. They are PXU. So has been re registered at some point. I think the Ps started in 98 / 99 somewhere. May have been bent then fixed. There is no "red" in the front bumper but is in the rest. The left indicator seems to be "Whiter" than the right one. The door trims do not have pockets like EDs do. Just get the body number and we can tell when she was built..
