Hey guys,
I'm planning a holiday/trip with the family and hoping to be in Bathurst for Bathurst weekend 2014. Problem is - I actually don't know when that will be! Is there any way of finding out the 'approx' dates for the great race this far out? Surely it doesn't change that much - I was thinking 2nd weekend of October - but I'd be spewing if it was the 3rd weekend and we missed it! Tips/Pointers/Answers Please? Thanks

Its not the 2nd Sunday in October always, this year it was the first Sunday.
It has been for many years the weekend after the October long weekend. The October long weekend is the first Monday in October. So in 2014 the long weekend would be the 4th-6th October and Bathurst should be the following weekend 9th -12th October. It has been this way for at least 10 years, so its a fair bet it will still be on the same weekend |

If not on their website ?, a call to V8 Supercars H.O at Gold Coast could confirm.
Otherwise guarantee Bathurst City Council or tourist info/accommodation centre etc will know and regardless 2 yrs away...would have forward planning completed ( also race teams book various levels of accomm yrs in advance ).

From next year they've moved it to the 3rd weekend in October from what ive heard.

it will be october 9th to the 12th 2014
in nsw the nrl grand final is on the long weekend, which is first monday in october... monday 6th oct bathurst is allways the next weekend which makes race day 12th october 2014 cheers

I can 100% guarantee that those are the dates it has been the weekend after the long weekend for at least 10 years so I can't see it changing

The date change was for this year only, ever since V8 Supercars as a series started they have been on the 2nd weekend in October , this year was an exception (mostly likely for the 50th Bathurst 500/1000).
As has been already posted, they are back to the 2nd weekend again next year, so I reckon it will be the 2nd weekend in 2014
