Default Doco on texting and driving.

Well worth watching, probably good to make a new driver watch as well.
Certainly makes you think twice.

Absolutely,

This is a very good clip, I couldn't agree more about making new drivers watch it.

thanks for posting

Unfortunately, I think most people will dismiss it after they see it goes for 30 minutes.

I'll admit I didn't give it 30mins

I've seen similar (not as well done) in the past and this is one thing I will never do

But then I've also been to the results of such behavior

I'd like to be able to post a link to one tha'ts nearly as good but perhaps more watchable due to it being shorter but I have yet to see one

Being a motorcyclist and having been cut off a few times by idiots talking on their phone, I have a simple plan for new penalties for using a mobile phone while driving:
The fines remain the same, but when pulled over, the copper tells you to copy all your contact to your SIM card, then he removes the card, hands it to you, puts your phone under the front tyre of your car, and then tells you that you are free to drive off on your way...

I'm guessing they'd only have to do it for a week or so before word got around and things changed...

It is quite long but I found myself intrigued and kept watching.
I though it was quite amazing seeing the young lady forgive the young guy after he'd killed her father and injured his friend.

Very touching. Very moving. Why does it take the loss of a human life, the loss of a loved one, a brother or sister before we realise that what we do as individuals has a profound affect on those around us. There's no going back once the damage is done. Years ago I taught myself to ignore my phone when I'm driving, now it's second nature. I actually find that when someone text's my phone & I'm driving, I forget about it within a minute or two. It CAN wait. I will never get a text or call that is more important than keeping my attention on the road.
