Why are you wishing for there to be no more Aussie made cars ?!
(good luck buying a cheap brand new turbo six sedan or V8 sedan in the future without Falcon or Commodore to choose from) I can't believe some of the views on this forum (from a couple of regulars) that because Falcon is dead then the Commodore should die too. Talk about taking your bat and ball home sulking.

Holden is deemed to be the most Aussie of the local car makers...despite the fact theres more parts bin stuff/imported gear in them than the other locals.
Surprised to see sales go up considering how pig ugly they are. |

It reminds me of a pimply faced 14 year old on school holidays who's rolled in here and thinks he can earn brownie points amongst members by sticking the boot into Holden. I wonder if he's even considered why his sentiments aren't supported by the Forum hierarchy... As I said in another thread, if he hates Holden, why post in every Holden thread. People complain about the Holden threads, but it is the handful of negative nancy's who keep the threads going. Anyone would think his team lost last night....oh, that's right, they did. |

Falcon is dead, Idc about Holden and wouldn't buy one. But for the sake of jobs I hope they stick around. However I will still buy a ford regardless of where it comes from, if it's worth buying that is. The new ranger and focus are IMO class leading and a perfect example of what can be produced with a global market. So I hope whatever ford decides to bring to nz/aus post 2016 is just as exceptional.
Grats if their sales are up 15% but still won't change Holden's future. |

I hope this patriotic screw Ford cause they're ceasing local manufacturing extends to the rest of your life, otherwise you'd look very hypocritical. Then again you're using a laptop/computer right now and they dont make any in Australia. |

I feel like that at that company because they keep like making threats too leave if they don't get more money. In saying that I do feel sorry for the people that make the cars losing their jobs. not their fault. these are the real victims in all this. not the ones reaping the rewards of threats and hard working peoples production. I have alot more respect for Toyota and Ford at the moment
