Default Re: Ford Territory successor reveal at LA motor show?

My understanding of the current Edge, is that it is basically a FWD box built on midsize (Mondeo) platform. They call it a “crossover” and it is marketed somewhere between a Van & a Wagon.

I would have thought the Explorer would make a more logical choice?

Base model current EDGE is FWD but 'active' AWD is optional. Just like all of the competitors.

Crossover is the correct description of all these so-called SUV's that are built on car platforms, including the current Territory. It just happens to be the rare one out (along with BMW X5 and the Merc's) that are based on RWD passenger platforms

So it's the Ford equivalent of the Kluger. Yuck.

Some people will like it though.

The current one looks a bit like a Jeep too.
