with all that at their disposal, seems strange they are one of the teams opposed to returning to the full 1/4 mile, not for safety reasons but saying they would have to learn how to race the full distance again and it would to cost prohibitive

There problem is most tracks were made many years ago, since then cars are so much quicker and the run off area isn't long enough for nitro powered cars..
