I have a small BMW and I recently paid a mere $12 for an inside door handle trim - and that was from a dealer
The smart BMW owner will know that you can source genuine BMW parts through other avenues than BMW ..... I must say the local BMW salesman I spoke to was perplexed at the award - even they're surprised. Apparently there are only about 3 in NSW showrooms, all in Sydney which is about the only place they'd sell them. As Sir Humphrey might say in Yes Minister, it was a "brave" decision by Wheels. Electric cars still have a long development path to go and I agree it's on the cusp as to whether the award is fully relevant yet. |

WCOTY is a totally irrelevant award now anyways. It used to mean something.
I think they totally lost any cred when they gave the award to the Honda CRZ, a car that sold so poorly it's no longer on sale. Sold like 175 of them last year. |

If Wheels are awarding cars based on merit and the potential to influence cars into the future, giving the CR-Z a gong was a dead end and a major over sight.
