My advice is to subscribe to fuelwatch and they will send you an e-mail or sms of tommorows price in up to 10 suburbs.I never get stung by 10c price risies anymore. This is in WA i dont know about other states.

I'm not so fussed about the price of petrol otherwise i would buy a less powerful car its how fast that its going up, and i am wondering if its going to stop. If fuel hits $2 a litre then it will be good for traffic there won't be any!

The truth is the Gov could do something, but they wont.
The exercise tax is at 38.143 c/ltr plus 10% GST on that makes 41.96 c / ltr goes to the Govt. If your in NSW ad the extra 3cent for the 3 x 3 that never got removed 10 years ago. By the end of this financial year, the Howard Government will have collected an estimated $44 billion in petrol taxes since the GST came in - $36 billion in excise, and $8 billion from the GST. Now has this money gone on the roads etc ?
Wake up, the Govt is ripping us off and what can we do ? who voted in the GST ? who voted in the Govt ? we did, the people of Aust. So since we did then we just have to accept the Govt ripping us off.
You all say your going to pay it, of course we all are, but I am sure that you will cut the extra money somewhere - maybe no more going to the movies or buying takeaways etc. At the end of the day we all suffer in some way or another because of the increases.... how many are given pay rises to cover the CPI increase let alone costs in petrol, food etc etc. Dont forget food costs will go up because transports costs will go up
