I still had to pay my excess as I couldn't give their Australian address, and was never refunded my excess, even though they had all info like names, passport info etc etc.
I used to work on a minesite, and there was an instance of overseas employees visiting, being given vehicles, and proceeding to travel down 100kmh roads at 4 oclock in the morning on the wrong side of the road.

On the other hand, driving in America, I had a bad habit of always turning left into the left lane, not the right. It is hard to undo years of conditioning and diliberately drive on the "wrong" side of the road. Lucky that car had ADAS braking.

Yup, still waiting to get our new F-Pace (2021 face lift model) panel beaten after I was rear ended, tow bar saved the day by the look of it, not a lot of obvious damage. One panel beater's estimate was $18000, included a new boot lid.
Image below, more image uploading practice for me, sorry the vehicle is a bit dirty

Yeah funny about the repair estimate. If it had been a Thai or Korean would have been $10k less

That panel beater called me the next day and said he couldn't do it, it had to go to a specialist Jaguar repair shop to be fixed in order to maintain the body warranty.
So, have been waiting for 2-3 months for the parts to arrive. It's supposed to be in the shop now but postponed 'till next week due parts haven't arrived. I don't know what the cost will be at this shop. Will find out. Insurance paying for it all including transporting the Jag to/from the shop 275km away.
