They are great cars, I loved them and the De Tomaso Pantera when I was a kid.
I ended up getting the Pantera

I'd prefer to think of the Chooklotto as an Italian shopping trolley with a massive amount of Aussie input from Barry Lock- suspension, body (that kevlar (?) rear bulkhead), engine, body panels.

They were talking about a unique body shell just before/during/after they pulled the pin on the whole idea. It mad sense to start with the Sprint when they were talking about the initial turbo V6.

And I still love the Nagari (and almost every Bolwell that I've ever encountered). Does anyone know why they originally ran the 302 instead of a 351 cid engine? This was around the time of the supercar scare.

Panteras - well at least the later cars had Australian made engines. They were imported without engines from Italy by Paul Halstead.

It was a long shot to see if he still owned the car? Cheers

That ad relates to when he purchased the car, way back in 2007.

Thought it was a sale ad as it said it has had three owners and he was the third, as he said the second was Bob Roman.

From what I can find, number 8 has been on display at the Birdwood motoring museum for quite a few years.

Yes, you are correct (apologies). That ad is Mondie selling the car, after this thread was created.
I got confused as he is claiming to have purchased the car yet he posts pictures of him selling the car (!) Something seems wrong here...
