Default I have finally been affected by the anti Hoon Laws... a.k.a. Dumbest Criminal Ever.

Was over at a mates place, when a mutual friend gives my mate a call, asking him to drive up to the sunny coast (about a 3 hour drive) to come pick him up. seeing as we had had more that a few beers at this stage, we both said no, when we asked where his ute was? he said it was impounded, and pointed us in the direction of this story on the sunny coast's daily news paper.

The Daily - Dumbest Criminal ever

Stupid stunt outside cop shop

Stupid stunt outside cop shop

Busted: Police impound a vehicle for doing burn-outs in the car park outside the Maroochydore Police Station. Photo:Warren Lynam/184165

The Macquarie Dictionary defines “stupid” as lacking ordinary activity and keenness of mind.

According to Senior Sergeant Ray Hoelscher of Maroochydore police, it was personified yesterday in the form of a 32 year old man who allegedly did burn outs in his hotted up ute directly in front of the police station.

His excuse?

He was frustrated at not being able to find the supermarket.

At about 4.30pm, police inside the station say they heard a loud screeching of tyres in the carpark, directly outside their front door.

Looking out his window, Snr Sgt Hoelscher saw smoke spewing from beneath a bright orange ute.

It sped off but was stopped by a red light at a nearby intersection, where police were able to intercept it.

The driver – a man from the Gold Coast was taken back to the station and charged with wilfully driving in a manner so as to create undue noise and smoke.

His near new car was then impounded for 48 hours and he could do nothing but watch as it was put on the back of a truck and taken away.

“The guy wasn’t too smart – certainly one of the dumbest criminals I’ve seen in a while,” Snr Sgt Hoelscher said.

“Apparently he didn’t know there was a police station here, despite the big sign out the front.”

He said the man had endangered the safety of his female passenger and others using the car park.

The driver will face the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on August 26.

Interesting the subtle reference to the word CRIMINAL.

Just relax and laugh at him, like we all have he will get his in the legal system, which I am sure they will make an example of him...

There should be a new reality TV show called "Why Did You Do It?" which interviews the dumbest people reported for doing stupid things, and their parents get to have a say. Any monetary reward goes to a chosen charity.

There is someone at my work who could fall into this catergary and came to work on his day off to do a burnout and half way through the the burnout a new commodore came driving up the road and everyone was in fear that it was an under cover but not this bloke, just kept smoking those tyres. As it turned out it wasn't a cop car and kept driving past unable to see the road clearly because there was that much smoke. When we asked "Why Did You Do It?" His answer was "Well if it was a cop I was already going to get done for doing a burnout I might as well make it an awesome one!"

He should ask the cop if he could get a copy of the " Burnout Video"... There should be a video of this considering the location. would make great Video to watch.
Lucky no one was Hurt or he didnt lose control straight in the Police station.
Would have made National Headlines lol
