still better looking than a hilux but I agree with you JPFS1 the ranger is the best looking one, just looks so tuff. The T6 ranger was the first light truck (bar the raptor) to make me think i wouldn't mind owning one.

Thanks for posting.

Looks a bit limp to me, a very big improvement but IMO the Hilux looks better. The interior kills the Hilux easily. I haven't seen the new Ranger yet - are pics released?

edit - just checked the other thread. Ranger looks brilliant. Will look very tough with a lift-kit and wheels.

To me, following Mazda's "smiley face" design language has not worked very well on this. It's a shame because it usually looks fairly good.

Yeah I don't know if mazdas language really works with a pickup, can't see many typical blokes going for that over a ranger....unless....swmbo is driving it a bit with the kids.

None of these seem to be as good on the outside as the f trucks.

Hmm, being a current model Mazda 6 owner, I had high hopes for the BT50 as it looks like I will be forced into a dual cab for my next vehicle, but (you could feel the but coming couldn't you?) I am sorry, the current Mazda styling doesn't translate well onto the BT50. The interior looks great in my opinion - better than the Ranger, but the exterior is just wrong.

When Mazda said it would stand out, they weren't wrong, but that is not necessarily a good thing.

What I will give them props for is the different tail lights, I know there is only so much you can do with that space but atleast its different. But WTF is with the little reflectors below the lights, is that because there are none in the actual light itself?

This would have to be the first not so good Mazda in a while!

ARB would be looking at this thing right now thinking "What The!...we're going to have to make a bullbar for this??!"
Way too much "Mazda Smiley Face" front on this thing. Doesn't suit a "truck"
Rear lights look ordinary also IMO. As said... Fugly, but nice interior.

Gee hope the lights on the tray door are just for looks?? as they will be useless when you drive around with the door folded down if you have a longer load in there

Yup, that's what a Ford forum really needs. Lots of big pictures of a Mazda.

I noticed that as well, looks very FG to me.

I think the the problem overall is that it has been very over designed. I much prefer the Ranger

Agreed, it's way too over the top for a truck and just doesn't pull it off. The Ranger however looks awesome, much better than Hilux and Triton and even the F150. Don't think Mazda will be selling too many of these at all.

The Ranger is a no nonsense design. The Mazda is just too fussy for a workhorse/truck. I think it will sell well though, you only need to look at Triton sales once it had a styling overhall

Triton is a very good workhorse, even if it looked butt ugly, it still sold a fair bit.

I think the Triton looks great, well before they facelifted it and stretched the tub. To me the Mazda just looks wrong in those pics. Hopefully in the flesh it will look better.

I think the back view would look better without the lights on the tailgate.

Considering it's part of T6, and Ford Australia own the project, it's completely relevant.

Thread title is clear, if you didn't want to see it, you didn't need to open the thread, how's that for an
