Default New fpv flagship model??

I was killing time at the shops today flicking through a copy of Motor magazine at the newsagents when I came across an article where they were talking to what's his face (sorry, i'm bad with names) from fpv and there was mention of a new "world beating" flagship model due in about a years time. Could anyone shed some light in this or does anyone know what they're talking about? I'm interested to see if it's going to happen or if it's just the media playing silly buggers!

GTH? Oh that will be interesting

But in reality the GT-P has more than enough than 99% of the owners are capable of handling most of the time.

The "flagship" needs to take a leaf out of the AMG or M book and upgrade the suspension, geometry, wheels and tyres and even transmission to make the super falcon more than just a quarter mile queen.....

Personally, I think it might be the Falcon to end all falcons... Going out with a bang?

The whole "going out with a bang" thing makes sense to me. If the falcon gets the boot a big farewell mother of all falcons model should definately be the order of the day.

Going out with a bang makes no sense to me...why spend money on a car with a very short life span?

Make the thing now if you know the falcon as we know it is ending and maximise the money you can make.

So in short, just make the melb motorshow GT as the base GT and sell heaps.

Idk the going out with a bang thing might make sense.
This 'GT-H' is released mid 2013. It's the greatest Falcon ever and therefore priced as such to recoup (some) cost. Might entice a few XR6 sales as well.
By 2016, it's three years old, it's lost it's appeal a little bit, it's 'wow' factor, it's about due for a facelift and they have sold all they are going to sell without a new series.
But instead of a facelift, Falcon is dropped to history books after going out with a bang.

there is a limited edition coming soon.

3 colours 185 built either in total or for each colour (i think in total)

wider wheels and tyres for the rear, different coloured wheels, suspension tune, black outs like on the black edition and some other bits and pieces. from the rumours going around they will be based loosly on the create your own mustang theme on ford.com.

alegedly they will arrive mid year.

There was also a blurb in the same issue re the Mustang being possibly produced in right hook for the UK & Euro market come 2014 under the One Ford Strategy.

Going to be an interesting couple of years.

I wish the GT-P was more of a flagship model, more of a GTS competitor.

But I think FPV will go do some crazy limited model before the end.

So, this with a 10th anniversary badge on the boot and 385-400kw up the front.

(all conjecture)

I dont see the point of limited editions like this, it will just butcher the sales of the standard models. Why not just make it an upgraded "special" performance pack or something....as an option ? there is no value in a limited edition badges from a consumers point of view. All the guys that rushed out and bought the black limited edition will feel a bit dirty I would imagine..?

Very good point. As a short run limited edition also throws out the all the potential buyers who leases do not expire during that 3 months. And let's face it there are a lot of people on the salary packaged car allowance these days. So a "tarck pack" or "Cobra Pack" or "call it what you like pack" on any FPV for an additional $XXX .

Adds value, makes money, gives customers what they want, when they want.
