As an introduction. Russell gave me a V8 Race Experience for Christmas last year and I recently attended at Winton Park Raceway to enjoy the gift. In a word – fantastic!
Loved the day and 20 times better than I was expecting. I came away feeling like I had learned a lot and really nailed it on the last lap (9th!) – It was harder than I thought but well worth the time in the car, with Justin (one of their top Drivers). While I cannot enter this competition (would love to do it again though!!!), I can highly recommend it and very grateful to V8 Race Experience PTY Ltd for taking time with me and offering our AFF Members a chance to try this for free - they were very keen to hear about the AFF and be part of our Group. Enter and have fun if you win this! I am still smiling from what was a very positive and challenging experience.

Hey GT and Russ,
why can Queenslanders enter any state event, but no mention of us members in Tassie? Can't we have a crack at Vic? Great initiative, and per usual - thanks for organising this team! Texas

Sorry about forgetting Tasmania! Tasmania and Qld can have a go at any of the ones on offer as you don't have a State one to attend. You have a choice of SA, Vic, NSW or WA. People from those States can only enter the State they are in. You will also be responsible for your own transport to and from the event.
Regarding the Christmas Toy run in Perth, I have asked Russell and he thought there was one on but can check with Spoolman. Cheers Gaela

If there isn't a thread then I'd presume not. We did call for organisers for each State but I know not every State managed to come through with one.

Yeh, but like ACT, you don't get a V8, you get a Territory.

I'm in. I take my daily driven Fg to the circuit many times/year and am interested to see how a similar/lighter car feels.

Have EFII XR8. Central locking when unlock drivers door continually cycles front passenger door actuator and rear doors will not lock. Controlled from drivers side I believe and am investigating but thought someone might have some ideas,

BATHURST EXPERIENCE (By just attending the 2012 AFF Salvo's Christmas Toy Run): Winner is: STAGG - from Victoria. He was the 3rd in the draw as the first 2 drawn were ineligible as they did not participate in the Toy Cruise - (SA member had been drawn 1st and NSW Member 2nd). VIC Competition Winner: Matwilliams91 ACT/NSW Comp Winner: killerjoolz SA Comp Winner: mattkay WA Comp Winner: XWdarcy We would like to congratulate the winners and also thank V8 Race for generously donating such fabulous prizes. They do a terrific job of giving people an opportunity to drive an exciting V8 and if you are struggling to find a Christmas Present for a loved one, seriously consider this as an option. I got one myself last year and it was the best thing I have done for some time. Still smiling from the experience. Thanks again to all that participated in the Christmas Toy Run (for the Bathurst Experience) and the State Competitions. Check out V8 RACE EXPERIENCE opportunities on their Website and the link can be found in their Sponsor area.
