I have to say that as a recent ford car customer, we are VERY impressed at the efforts they (dealership and the factory) are making to ensure that the car is spot on. and so far its is!!!
they have called my wife repeately to check that things are good with the fiesta. is this a 'new' ford we are seeing here? well done and with this attitude, they can real in the competitors gradually. (i grew up in ana era of ford market domination......80's)

Well if you've been having good experiences with a Ford dealer, then I'm sure they'd like you to tell us all which dealer it is?

JARVIS that doesnt mean the other dealers wouldnt be just as good. so i dont want to knock the others. the factory also called, so its not just at a local level.

Thats the issue with them, they spend so much time on people buying $14,000 dollar focus's, that they dont have time when someone spends 70+K a few times on various high end fpv models. Sorry for being so cynical.. But true facts. I will never be going back there for my services or buying a new car from them ever again.

I dunno about anyone else but I feel the ford dealer bashing is getting old, if your not happy with the way your treated go somewhere else. I guarantee other manufacturers dealers are no better.

Yeah yous are right, just venting I guess over some issues i had with them over the years. Not so much the initial purchasing experience (that was pretty good from Jarvis), mainly the after sales and service depts gets my blood boiling.

And that's ok to be cranky if you bought a $70k car you should expect to be looked after. My point was if you bought a little Feista or whatever you should be looked after too

I bought 2 new mbikes within 9 months. the first bike has not been back for any warranty issues, and the other is a never ending saga. i can tell you that it was all smiles when i bought it from peter stevens.....after numerous warranty return visits, they dont sprinkle roses on the floor when i walk in now!!!

A good dealer who cares after you buy the car is the dealer you are most likely to buy from next time.

Great news and good to hear a positive about a dealership.
Since the demise of Dale Ford I've been going to Thomson Ford in Parramatta. They're pretty good and also Jorge from Dale is working there now. Always good to have someone who knows you look after you. So far, had 4 cars go in for service and all have come back free of problems, and the price quoted was the price I paid. Always a good thing when that happens.

Bought the missus a new C250 diesel Merc wagon last year.
Service invoices have all been for $0.00, 3 years free service inc everything. She gets a loan car identical to the one she drives so no unfamiliarity. Car is always washed and vaccuumed, dog hairs all gone. Windows cleaned streak free on the inside as well. A service feedback card with a stamp on the envelope every time. Car was $69k. Ford has some tough competition me thinks. |

Sure, and I could compare a Mitsubishi Sigma to the Mondeo. Sure I gotta buy a $5 oil filter every 6 months, but I'll have $43k in the bank.

Yeah they do, although it depends on the state you are in to some extent. I know in Vic that if the item doesn't perform as expected or you wouldn't have bought it if you new you were going to have these issues with it you can get a refund.
One of the Ranger guys had a torque converter let go and destroy the gearbox, he was quoted a stupid long wait for a new gearbox so he lodged a refund claim with fair trading. Resulted in a gearbox being found within the week and the dealer keen to do what it takes to get the refund request cancelled. Same applies to TVs fridges etc, worth looking up what your statutory warranty rights are |
