Default Moving a gearbox and tailshaft interstate?

I tried to do a search for similar questions, but the few that I found weren't that helpful.

I live west of Brisbane near Ipswich and I'm looking at buying a gearbox and drive shaft from west Melbourne. All up it weighs 50kg or less (can't get an exact weight from the seller). The seller assures me he can pack it ready to go.

I don't usually buy larger parts interstate. Can anyone recommend a good door to door courier or transport service?

e-go.com.au is very popular for this sorta thing.

good pricing too. my car nut mates at work swear by it. especially if the seller can take it to a depot and you can pick it up from a depot.

I had to send a 351 Crank to WA from Brisbane a while ago. Most courier companies required me to have an account and don't do one offs. So I had to use "Pack n Send" but they were a bit on the expensive side. In saying that they do a good job door to door!

That's what I have found too.

Thanks, I sent them an email. Since I don't know the exact details yet, hoping they can draw on past experience to give me a rough price.

e-go have a calculator and list of their depots on their website. It's very easy if you know the dimensions and weight of your parcel to get the right price.
I recently had a gearbox sent from Brisbane to Cairns (depot to depot) for $50!
It arrived in 3 days!!!

E-go have a depot right near my workplace - literally a couple of hundred metres and looks like there's a depot close by down in VIC too, so they seem the go. I'll let you all know how it goes.
