In some photos the old one looks dated already.
But I still prefer it over the new. S class V12tt would be a great barge to drive. |

The new lines around the boot look good.. Quite sleek really..

Definitly evolutionary rather than revolutionary.

I love the new W222 S class, yes evolutionary on the skin but takes the classiness to a new level.
Underneath though.....that's a whole new kettle of fish. http://www.autoblog.com/2013/05/15/2...lass-revealed/ just have a look at the changes (a long list) in the link above.

Oh and on a serious note...it's yet another stunning, inoffensive design from Benz.
Kudos!

Lovely car but costs half as much as my house... once landed and registered etc.
The w221 does look slightly dated side by side. |

I love that Benz tends to EVOLVE over time, as opposed to them bringing out some bizarre new look in the name of progress.

I can't wait to see the car in the flesh now, it will be interesting to compare it to the Bentley Flying Spur.

They have only released the details of the lower spec W222 S-class models. I am waiting for the details of the high end models which will replace the failed (great cars but WTF is a) Maybach models.

Local test of the new über Mercedes. These are 'only' the entry level models with the V12 and AMG models still to come.

If you want to experience the true meaning of what is meant by the words "savage depreciation" buy one of these cars brand new. You'll get a lesson you never dreamed was possible in your worst nightmare.
Don't buy a diesel one either. Really unless you earn more per annum than the cost of the only model worth buying, the S 500, and are entirely sure you'll continue to earn $400,000 plus for the next 10 years do yourself a huge favour and give the dream of owning one of these a miss. They're arn't the rock star cars people think they are and are really only worth about half what they ask for them down-under in Australia or N.Z. M Benz are shafting Aussie and Kiwi buyers. Disclosure - Own a W221 diesel. Not worth selling as resale is an absolute bloody shocker. Last edited by Rodge; 11-07-2013 at 10:59 AM. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKJ41kOghH8 It's a dream car of mine. One day, if I ever win lotto, the new S-class might be on the shopping list.
