Yeah doesn't look like it's from a car....not an Aussie one. Does it have pins to mount it on the back?

Yeah, looks like a pin/clothes badge, based on the XW badge, promo tool for dealers?

Nope, XT's didn't have the GT badge on the Grille, they had it on the Bonnet instead. Just had the letters "GT" horizontally with no "ford".

Dealership pins...being gold at the top like that, likely it was a special one for someone who made a lot of sales?

I once saw a very nice set of cufflinks and a tie pin...just a plain Ford oval, but nicely enamelled and high quality...still in their little "Ford" labelled box that were a dealer prize for selling the most cars. It was from the sixties or early seventies, and was on Ebay for about twenty bucks. I hummed and hahhed and missed out on them. Should have bought them...

Definitely a sales/service persons lapel pin. Have seen a few like this when I was much younger hanging around my uncle, who worked at a Ford dealership for many many years.

A nice bit of memorabilia you got there.
