what is the fastest time a miami V8 has clocked down the dragstrip

hi was just thinking. with all the talk of the GTS vs GT atm. whats the fastest time someone has gotten down the quarter mile with a FPV FG GT, powered by the supercharged 5L V8, that's found in the FPV GT's??? I know it might seem stupid me asking this but i'm interested!!! this does include worked motors etc (obviously). I know there running around mid 12s stock. just wondering has anyone cracked under 10 seconds yet?? etc..

..... enough to say that it is easily a mid 12 second car! Same as a new generation GTS? Not bad for an old model!

Are you sure? The et does not match the MPH mate, not even close.

It does if the run had timing/speed beam issues or something goes wrong after half track and you roll through

I honestly didn't think many people would of replied too be honest. I like this sort of threads too myself. the FPV GT is my dream car as stupid as some might say it is. If I was in a better situation I'd get one!!!

If it makes you feel better, they are very tough on tyres, need to replace them every 20 to 30k as they tend to wear quickly and spin the wheels at will.

Harder to drive in the wet and have to be careful on the loud peddle as they tend to step out far too quickly.

Can put you in a position where you have to be careful with points against your license.

Everyone wants to drag you at the lights but you need to resist as you know you will flog them anyway.

Your mates would rather you drive your car and use your petrol than use their own.

You attract attention with others giving you the thumbs up at the lights.

Constantly being bothered by people asking, "Is that the Supercharged one?"

You can suddenly get fat because you would rather drive 200 metres to the shop than walk.

Being able to drive to the drags, rattle off a mid 12 and then drive home past the cops without anyone taking notice ....... boring!

The exhaust note and whine from the Supercharger makes you miss your favorite songs on the radio!

Constantly arguing with the Mrs on who is going to drive to the shops.

You start to feel sorry for those driving next to you in their E3 with DLR's and stupid vents

I feel guilty that I paid 68k for a 328RWKW factory warrantied Super Charged V8

I feel guilty when I pull up next to a Hybrid

I feel guilty that I still love it after 2 years and should be bored with it and moved on.

There is no 9 sec Miami yet... the first one wont be that far off I dont think as things are going to crank up a notch or two in the coming months if my "sources are reliable"

10.65 is where its at right now, this is in a ZF Auto GS sedan on slicks and runners with some weight reductions and no exhaust so it will take more than a massage to get a 9.

Its called power and hard shifting.. when my AU was dead stock IRS,T56 normal (synchro) box and on 265 drag radials it made 507rwkw on Bluepower's dyno in Melbourne and ran 10.78 @ 136mph, 2005kg with me in it (at the time I was 140kgs)
