Epic advertising but kinda creepy how vw can send an entire cinema a message at once... Also why don't these people switch their phones off in the cinema???

Seams fake.
Surely most people would have their phone on silent in a movie. I know they received the text at the same time, but do you really think every single person would rip their phone out instantly to look at a text.
Also if I was in a crowed where everyone received a text at the same time if be looking around at wtf is going on. Not my phone.

Creative but wont make a difference. Half of them will be sending a link to their friends as soon as the movie finishes, while driving home.
