Hey, just finished installing new air-gap manifold and edelbrock 650 thunder carb on the bronco.
Wow what a carb, talk about easy setup. Install the metering rods and jets you wish ie: rich or lean, there's a illistrated table in the instructions. Install ford kick-down attachment. Put carby on manifold. Only thing was i had to make a bracket up for the throttle cable. Install the fuel pressure regulator and set it for 5psi. Adjust electric choke. Start the engine. Time and adjust idle screws and that's it. Gees she is so smooth has got good get up and go. I do suggest to put use the top hole in the accelerator pump. I am so impressed, years ago i bout a holley for the bronco and spent weeks trying to get it right with power valves and jets, i sold it and got a thermoquad rebuilt untill now. I must say if you want an easy to set up carb that is good for the street, edelbrock is a buet. Oh on the highway i noticed i get better readings from the vacuum gauge aswell sitting up around 17-18 while doing 100. |

Good stuff mate, pretty nice doing bolt ons i reckon, you actually get to spanner stuff .

Have to agree Damo, we put one on the XE a few weeks back & she has never run better & she actually starts first time every time now. So much better than the 650 Holley we used prior.
