I may want to move a car and get a car transport company to pick it up and deliver interstate.
Has anyone had any experience with a car transport company and could they recommend someone for me? Cheers Cav |

Call Mark 'Stretch' Harrison 0418 333 470.
He's Melbourne based but has carted stuff all over the show for me. I've also used CEVA, but depot-to-depot. John

I have used CEVA to get a car from Townsville to Sydney, again depot to depot but for extra coin they pickup and deliver IIRC.
No issues and simple as to organise online. .

Alan's Unique Car Carriers for sure. Fully enclosed trailer, door to door, very professional and will look after your baby well. I could not recommend anyone else. They looked after my car better than anybody I have seen before. Stories of front spoilers getting knocked off coming on or off trucks is a common thing, but not with these guys! The driver I had moved the truck a couple of times because he was not happy with the levels and used rubber spacers to take up any uneven level to make sure nothing scraped on a low car. Awesome!! I've had good experiences with Ceva and Patrick's, both use closed in side protected carriers. Ceva do home delivery but are ridiculous on their pricing to do that but depot to depot is quite reasonable. I've also used Prix Car but a bit more pricey but door to door and good service.

Thank you for all your responses.
If I book earlier enough the one way airfare is $110, so I will probably do that if things go well with the seller. I did ask for a car carry quote via the internet but I am still waiting. I expect it to be a few hundred dollars though. The airport with direct flights to Melbourne is 100kms away and I have teed up a mate to assist me getting two cars home. All I have to do now is get more info on the car and make him a reasonable offer. There is a tradition that when my wife goes away I buy another car. At the moment she is in Europe, so I want to have a suitable surprise for her when she gets back home. |

I just had a car delivered door to door from northern NSW to Perth. Good experience but yes depot to depot is cheaper. Would totally recommend CEVA.

I had PrixCar move an FPV Tornado ute from Dubbo to Perth last year for $1,286.
Picked up from auction warehouse in Dubbo and delivered to depo in Perth.

I got a couple of quotes today around $600 to $700 for car transport. So if the airfare is only $110, I think I will fly down and drive back. I don't dislike Melbourne, it's better than Sydney. |

$110 is cheap for Rex, it's usually around $160. Grab it quick

I reccommend Ceva vehicle transport. Cars well looked after and good to deal with.
Quotes easy to obtain as they have a good website calculator

Prixcar service is really bad. They sent my car from syd to wagga on the day of my delivery and im 20 min away from the depot. They said they sent the wrong car. How many gold 1966 falcons do they move each day?
