Just purchased 2011 Ford Territory Titanium
Alpine DVD player works excellent but sound only through car Stereo Alpine Headphones look unused, we're put in fresh batteries, light comes on and turn volume up but no sound. Followed all instructions in manual I've adjusted the IR transmitter to A/B and off - restarted player each time. Remote works fine so I think this means IR transmitter is working? Any tips would be wonderful as I'm sick of hearing kids movies booming through the car. DVD player: Alpine 5R79 19C195 AA Mod AsyRR Ent Sys Headphones: Alpine SHS-N103 |

Are you sure you've turned the volume up on the headphones?

If it has the option to set a country code, make sure it's set for Australia.

Hi Tashy, I'm currently having the same problem and looking for answers, playing the dvd through the car is driving me mad. I was wondering if you could tell me if you fixed it and how?
Thanks Sam |

Hi Sam,
Ford and Stereo Supplies said no fix, we can only replace the whole DVD player. Apparently the output was broken and unrepairable. I don’t think it ever worked, and we were too late to claim under warranty. I hope you manage to fix yours Thanks Tash |

Since the correct headphones for this entertainment system are no longer available is anyone aware of a suitable replacement for the headphones, that can be purchased new?
