Post Hyundai is offering half price car servicing to healthcare workers

"Hyundai is offering half price car servicing to healthcare workers across Australia during the COVID-19 emergency response and nationwide lockdowns.
A confidential bulletin issued by Hyundai to its national dealer network says the special offer is “designed to offer something back to the many workers across the country that are at the front line of the battle against coronavirus”.
The Hyundai dealer memo says “all workers in healthcare (doctors, nurses, receptionists, mental health personnel and the like” are entitled to a 50 per cent discount on “any scheduled service at an authorised Hyundai dealer”.

To ensure only eligible Hyundai owners take advantage of the offer Hyundai dealers advised service staff to “simply verify the sector the owner is working in … this can be via a name badge, business card or email”.
The Hyundai dealer bulletin says the special offer is available to healthcare workers from 20 April 2020 to 31 May 2020.
The Hyundai offer follows a decision by Mazda to offer healthcare workers in the US a free oil change – whether they own a Mazda or not. However, the free service offer was not matched by Mazda in Australia."

Good luck to the health care workers getting discounts but it would be nice for the people who were forced to be unemployed or reduced hours in their employment to have discounts offered to them.

I do feel sorry for those who recently lost their job due to Cov19 but they get a Health Care Card that gets discounts on power, water, gas, pharmaceuticals etc.

Why the long term unemployed got an increase and $750 gifted to them, is beyond wonder, not like they would spend it much on anything unless you take the booze increased sales into account.

Many Health Care workers are pushing out up to 16 hours a day at present. Example is a health care worker working 64 hours in a forthright in Corona Care takes home less than $1000 pfn plus has to pay for fuel and wear and tear going to and from work and someone on the rock and roll sitting at home brings in more now.

One is putting themselves and potential family in harms way, one is sitting on their bum watching Netflix.
