I heard on the news that some Sydney servos have ULP at 149.9. I went down straight away and filled up at 116.3 (after 8c/litre discount).

Yep .. saw ULP @ $1.39 .. and LPG @ $0.40 in regional Vic.

Lets see average 70 litre tank fill = $97.30 ULP .. $28.00 LPG. Ahh, I'll be enjoying my new conversion soon ..

Gas is 0.50/lt next to my work which i thought was unusual. I was driving with my air con and once i saw the price for ULP (139.9) i turned it off and backed off the right pedal.

So for now while it isnt too hot Ill just put the windows down. After all they are electric lol.

And the extra drag from the opened windows will use as much if not more fuel than your A/C.

10c extra times 40L equals $4.00, yet you'll gladly pay $7 buck for a glass of cleaning product in some seedy night club. The world hasn't ended yet chicken little. :evil_laug

Shame it happens tho - some people do turn their anger onto the wrong person. I had to stick up for the rather gorgeous chick at the servo today when a bloke was filling his VS with premium.

it is still at 1.25c in Werribee Sth(the seven-eleven & the shell) - don't goto the shell...they have ran out of fuel ASAIK because we tried to fillup....waited 10 minutes in line and a ladie infront stole the last petrol on one pump! had to goto the seven-eleven; which was at 1.25 =)

While waiting, there was a red van filling up his car, and a fuel can....probably been there well before we got there.... a white business van behind him - guy was getting furious at the guy infront cause he was taking his time...was accelerating and braking (almost hitting the guy in red van :P) but was funny cause once he got to fill up hose he got out an noticed he was on the wrong side! lol ....so he had to go out and come back in again (it was really packed! - longest qeue i'd ever seen!)

just over $80 to fill tank up from almost dead empty(red light on) - was 3 notches from top.

Gas is the right option, but the wrong time to try and get it installed (at least in canberra). I rang the 2 biggest gas installers and they have a 6 to 8 week wait as APA can't make the gas tanks fast enough to keep up with demand.

I thought that LPG was going to have an excise put upon it after 2006? Some hearsay from an old thread a while ago. Sorry, can't supply a link.

Meh, I'm thumbing my nose to these prices, in reality we're pretty well off with our fuel. Sure, it's only greed (rather than "dwindling supplies") which is jacking up the prices, not to mention the recent breeze in the Gulf of Mexico, but what we pay for fuel compared to our income is still pretty good (compare fuel prices vs income throughout the 20th century). The 1990s was when we had it the best. Yes, better than those days in the early 70s when fuel was 5c/L or whatever it was.

/Ghia5L will drive home with a heavy foot and a big grin tonite

At the moment I'm suffering doing homework at uni (yes, 1.10am at uni).

Having said all that about petrol, LPG is the fuel of the 21st century. At least for the first half: We've got heaps of it :sm_headba

$1.39? Christ fuel has been $1.53 for 91 and $1.58 for 96 for a couple of weeks over here now. The election is in 2 weeks and both of the major parties have completely rulled out reducing petrol tax.
