if its an AU the coating on the senders would come off and affect the reading of the gauge

My EB has the same problem. Same with a couple which i had test driven when I was looking for a car. They all fluctuated. Could it be just on this model it always had this problem?

Also it is the reason why I didn't hook the gas gauge on the petrol one, as it plays too much.
