Default Remember the....

Thread where a white commodore was doing the burnout down a suburban back street whilst a mate was filming and everyone on here was hoping he would get busted?

Well it appears ACA have gotton onto this and its going to be on the box tomorrow night(21/9) and they claim he wont be getting away with it.

Hope this is the case and the police impound his car and slap him with a big fine.

regards

I agree, but ACA will be dragging all car modifiers into it. That's what they do.

I doubt this will end well for us. I am betting the moral of the story will be:

"Anyone who drives a car capable of breaking traction is a menace to society & wants to kill your children. WON'T SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!"

have to agree, if ACA are doing it, than it wont be a matter of justice - they'll turn it into "all modified" car owners are bad bad people, and that people should buy hyundai getz

I tryed to show my wife the thread on here but noticed it was removed. Wonder how ACA got the info? Yes, they will probably make us all out to be bad people. Hopefully not. They should also try to get hold of the dick in the corolla that was using his street as personal drag strip. If he lived in my street I would be in jail by now.

ACA won an award recently.

The "Slightly Less Crap than Today Tonight Award."

But they will miss the story. ACA and Today Tonight aren't after justice. They are after emotional responses. Referring to children, people will cry and want to take action. Regarding this story, this is just a red herring.

That's why I don't watch ACA or Today Tonight. I prefer to waste my life using my PC.

I can't decide which is worse...having another bogan doing burnouts on the street or having to listen to the whinging on every single form of media for the next two weeks. This reminds me why i don't watch tv....

They did show an accident where the driver was speeding, but IIRC he was drunk too. They didn't mention that part.

It was actually very restrained by their standards.

There was hardly if any mention of modified vehicles and instead concentrated on problem drivers of any vehicle. As is to be expected with these appalling shows, there was no discussion of possible methods to reduce this kind of behaviour other than 'lock them all up and crush the cars', but this is unfortunately to be expected, there is no shock value or ratings in that.

We were naturally treated to the obligatory images of an injured child, also an old woman who is 'too scared to leave her home'. No substance to it at all, as to be expected, but it could have been much worse. Surprises me it wasn't to be honest.

The guy they were talking to, maybe some important guy regarding transport said something roughly along these lines " Its about time that people realize that cars are weapons ".

Pfft, because this does this you can expect the hoon laws to go crazy and everyone with mags and exhaust will be hassled.

Someone asked how the guy got caught ? His video of him doing a burnout in his street got the cops interested and the idiot also had his car for sale on car sales. So naturally they went to the house and noticed skid marks all up this suburban street and yeh, I think he is about to get owned pretty hard.

If yas want to see the video, type in sikest burnout in you tube. Thats what it said at the top of the screen when it was playing.

cheers martO

EDIT: better yet, heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRugj8nbbUg

just watched it and what the bloody media still don't understand is it's a small % of that are stupid in cars most of us are responsible and take it to the strip or the track when we want to have a bit of fun.

I like the way then did not scroll down the page and read some of the negtive comments posted on it and still any chance they get to hype up the word HOON they do, they way they were showing all the other cars doing stupid things.

Hmm Not Happy

What I'm curious about is how they got the link between that particular car and the car ad? And as someone posted before before they didn't show the negative comments posted below the video.

Well.. What im thinking is the guy was dumb enough to say it was his car but he wasn't driving it.

Because ACA said that's what he said, but it doesn't matter either way.
