Default VL vs Territory

My sons mate has a strange thought that his 20 year old standard VL would
blow my NA Territory away. What are everyones thoughts? :

Who cares? Territory's aren't race cars... And most VL drivers think that about every car they see...

Was I the only person who opened this thread hoping to see a VL crushed by a Territory, monster truck style?? In that respect, the Terri will always come out on top

Why don't you just shut him up and take him to the drags?

I can't see the point in racing any car in a Territory let alone a VL!

Tell your son's mate, to wake the ******* up.

Standard VLs are not fast. (I own a N/A 5 Speed after all)

A N/A Territory would shred it. Don't bother.

Um the VL is probably faster to 100 (Just) than the TT.

That said a TT is faster than a tip truck which is faster than a b-double which is faster that a container ship if we are compaing different things.

But only a VL driver would care.

a TT is way better car.

Really, who gives a crap about whether some loser's VL can drive faster than an SUV.
As stated, if he wants to show off how car, tell him to go to the drags. I'm sure he'll impress himself well there.

Well no, but faster then a worn out 20 year old car.

Boy I felt like a dick, when I used to think standard VLs went like the clappers, when I first got mine.

It's a pretty unsual comaprison. The 4spd Territory can do 0-100 in about 8.8 to 9.0 seconds - not bad when you consider it has a power to weight ratio of about 86kw/ton. Not sure about the VL though.

A N/A Auto VL does about 0-100 in 11 seconds, and the 5 speeds are about 9.2 seconds.

Your Territory will not beat his VL if it is Foolly Sic and he wears his baseball cap backwards nad his seat is laid right back.
